Janet Wall is an American politician born on November 21, 1949, in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. She is a member of the Democratic Party and has been serving as a representative from the Strafford 6 district in the New Hampshire House of Representatives since 2012.

Janet Wall was born and raised in New Hampshire. She completed her B.S. from the University of New Hampshire in 1971 and also pursued graduate studies there. Before entering politics, she had a diverse professional career. She worked as a middle school teacher and later became a small business owner. She also worked as a contractor for historic preservation projects, reflecting her lifetime interests in history, preservation, antiques, genealogy, and books.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Janet Wall has been actively involved in her local community. She was the first woman member of the Durham- Great Bay Rotary Club and was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow. She has served in various local government roles including Selectman, ZBA, Strafford Regional Planning Commission-Commissioner, and Madbury Water Commissioner & Chairman of the Board.

Janet Wall has a deep interest in historic preservation and has worked as a Historic Preservation Director for the Madbury Forum. She is a founder and the first president of the Madbury Historical Society and has served on the board of directors for the Durham Historic Association and Lee Historic Society. She has also volunteered at the Woodman Institute and has been a museum docent.

In her leisure time, Janet Wall enjoys gardening, particularly developing gardens with heritage plantings. She also enjoys traveling and reading books.
