Jim Maggiore is a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Rockingham 23. He assumed office on December 7, 2022, and his current term ends on December 4, 2024. He is a member of the Democratic Party.

Jim was born on Long Island, New York, and currently resides in North Hampton, New Hampshire. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Stonehill College in 1990. His career experience includes owning BioPro Technology.

Jim has a rich history of public service. He was elected to his first term in the NH House in 2018. Prior to that, he was elected in 2008 to a 3-year term on the North Hampton budget committee, where he served as chair in his final year. In 2011, Jim was elected to the North Hampton select board where he is currently serving in his 5th term. He is the select board representative to the planning board, heritage commission, and water commission.

As an advocate for local control of municipal affairs, fiscal responsibility, protecting natural resources, and transparency in government, Jim was naturally drawn to the House Municipal and County Government Committee. He is currently the ranking member on Municipal and County Government.

In addition to his responsibilities to the NH House and North Hampton select board, Jim serves on the board of directors for the New Hampshire Municipal Association (‘NHMA’). The NHMA is a non-profit, non-partisan association that works to strengthen New Hampshire cities and towns and enhance their ability to serve the public.

Jim has lived in North Hampton since 1997 with his wife Melanie. Together, Melanie and Jim raised three children all of whom graduated from North Hampton School and Winnacunnet High School.
