Representative Mark Vallone
Mark Vallone is an American politician and a member of the Democratic Party. He serves as a representative for the Rockingham 5th district of the New Hampshire House of Representatives.
Born and raised in Epping, New Hampshire, Mark Vallone has dedicated over 40 years of his life to education. He has worked as a teacher, principal, and coach, contributing significantly to the field of education. He is married to his wife Christine and is a proud father of two adult sons, Matthew and Dan, who are both married with children.
Mark Vallone earned a Bachelor’s degree from Bowdoin College and later pursued further studies at the University of New Hampshire, where he obtained a Master’s degree and a certificate of advanced graduate study.
In addition to his role as a representative, Vallone has served as President of the New Hampshire Social Studies Council and as a member of the Governor’s Advisory Council on Early Childhood Education. He has also been involved in local government, volunteering for the Epping Youth Athletic Association and serving as a member of the Epping Zoning Board of Adjustment, Epping Budget Committee, and Epping Recreation Department.
Vallone’s political career began when he ran for election to the New Hampshire House of Representatives to represent Rockingham 5. He won in the general election held on November 8, 2022. His current term in office began on December 7, 2022, and is set to end on December 4, 2024.
In the New Hampshire House of Representatives, Vallone is a member of the Public Works and Highways Committee. This committee is responsible for matters pertaining to the development and repair of public highways, the Highway Fund, the Turnpike Fund, buildings and capital construction, the capital budget, matters pertaining to state bonding authority, capital expenditures related to the improvement and preservation of the coastline, the care of state memorials and monuments, and other matters referred to it.
