Mike Edgar, also known as Michael Edgar, is a member of the Democratic Party and currently serves in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Rockingham 29. He assumed office on December 7, 2022, and his current term is set to end on December 4, 2024.

Mike Edgar lives in Hampton, New Hampshire, with his wife Kathi. They have lived in Hampton for 46 years and all five of their sons have attended the Hampton public schools. Both Mike and Kathi have been active in the community.

Mike has spent most of his life working in construction management and engineering, both on the civilian and military side. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1984 to 2009, where he reached the rank of Captain. His career experience includes working on large construction sites and responding to disasters in many places in the US including dams, powerplants, bridges and roads and in response to Hurricane Katrina. He was also deployed with the US Navy Seabees and worked overseas in Haiti, Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

He earned a B.S. in civil engineering from the University of Connecticut in 1970 and an M.S.E. in engineering science from Pennsylvania State University in 1982. His career experience includes working in construction management and engineering, as a civil registered engineer.

Mike Edgar served as a member of the Hampton School Board and was president of the Hampton Youth Association. He has been assigned to the Public Works and Highways Committee for the past 6 years. He also served as the Chair of the USS Hampton Committee from 2015 to 2018 and the Chair of the USS Virginia Committee from 2018 to 2022.

In the last election for the New Hampshire House of Representatives Rockingham 29 on November 8, 2022, Mike Edgar won and was re-elected for the 2023-2024 term.
