Andrea Romero is an American politician, lawyer, and entrepreneur serving as a member of the New Mexico House of Representatives from the 46th district, which includes part of Santa Fe County.

Andrea Romero is a daughter of Northern New Mexico—her family goes back 17 generations here. She was born and raised in Santa Fe, Española, Chimayo, La Mesilla and Nambe. Her father, the first in his family to graduate college, became an engineer, creating opportunities for her family. Her parents stressed the value of education and giving back to the community. She has two brothers: one is a veteran who now works in the private sector and another is a New Mexico State Police Officer.

After attending elementary, middle school, and high school in Santa Fe Public Schools, Andrea graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Political Science. She has dedicated herself to the growth of Northern New Mexico’s economic and environmental vitality through her small business and volunteer service to various organizations throughout the region.

Currently, Andrea is completing her law degree at the University of New Mexico School of Law and remains an avid entrepreneur, with one patent already on healthy probiotics eggs. Andrea’s Record of Public, Private, and Community Service includes:

Andrea Romero is an American politician, lawyer, and entrepreneur serving as a member of the New Mexico House of Representatives from the 46th district, which includes part of Santa Fe County. Romero returned to New Mexico after working in Mozambique and Washington, DC she started her own management consulting firm and established Tall Foods (now Tummi Yummi), a food startup that produces probiotics through eggs. Romero owns the patent in probiotic eggs. She works as an entrepreneur, lawyer, and management consultant with for- and nonprofits. Romero defeated incumbent Democrat Carl Trujillo and took office on January 15, 2019. Romero is a progressive democrat, having supported gun safety, climate change efforts, cannabis legalization and expungement, abortion and transgender rights, immigrant rights, and survivors of sexual violence.
