John Alan Torbett (born May 21, 1956) has been serving as a legislator in the North Carolina House of Representatives since 2010. His district, District 108, includes constituents in Gaston County. Torbett has been re-elected to this seat five times, most recently in 2020.

Before entering politics, Torbett held various roles in the business world. He has been the Vice President of North Carolina Operations for Defense Technologies, Inc. since 2003.
