Representative Heather Bauer
Heather Bauer believes in the American dream because she is living it. As a small business owner and an information technology project manager, she has worked hard to achieve her goals. Heather earned her master’s degree at the University of South Carolina in media arts.
Growing up, Heather was one of four children raised by a single mother who relied on public assistance. Despite early challenges, Heather saved her money, excelled in school, and even secured a spot on the volleyball team at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she attended on a scholarship.
In 2007, Heather moved to Columbia, South Carolina, to pursue her master’s degree. She fell in love with the city’s arts community and decided to make it her home. Over the years, she has actively contributed to local tech startups, served on various boards, and worked in the non-profit sector.
Heather’s passion for health and wellness led her to start Warrior Fitness and Martial Arts in 2015. She is deeply committed to creating opportunities for every child in South Carolina who works hard, just as she did.
