Senator Becca White

Becca White was born and raised in the village of Wilder, Vermont. She attended Hartford High School, where she developed a strong interest in community service and leadership. After high school, Becca pursued higher education at the University of Vermont, earning a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Speech and Debate.

Becca began her professional journey as an organizer for a local solar company, where she worked to promote renewable energy solutions. Her passion for community engagement led her to a role as a community engagement manager for Efficiency Vermont, a position that allowed her to work closely with residents and businesses to improve energy efficiency across the state.

At the age of 20, Becca ran for a seat on the Hartford Selectboard, where she served for two terms. Her dedication to public service and her ability to connect with constituents quickly made her a respected figure in local politics. In 2018, Becca was elected to the Vermont House of Representatives, representing the Windsor 4-2 District. During her tenure in the House, she served on the House Committee on Transportation, where she worked on policies to improve Vermont’s transportation infrastructure.

In April 2022, Becca announced her candidacy for one of the three Windsor Senate seats. She won the election in November, becoming the youngest person ever elected to the Vermont Senate. As a senator, Becca serves as a co-chair for both the Climate Solutions Caucus and the Future’s Caucus, where she advocates for sustainable environmental policies and innovative solutions to the challenges facing Vermont.

Becca is an active member of her community and continues to serve on multiple local boards. She lives in White River Junction with her husband, Dylan, and their cat, Ms. Kitty. When not attending meetings or working, Becca enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the natural beauty of Vermont.

Becca is a graduate of the Emerge Vermont program, which trains women to run for public office. She has also served on the board of the Vermont League of Cities and Towns, where she has worked to support local governments across the state. Her commitment to public service and her ability to bring people together have made her a respected leader in Vermont politics.

Senator Becca White’s journey from a small-town girl in Wilder to a prominent state senator is a testament to her dedication, hard work, and passion for public service. Her efforts to promote renewable energy, improve transportation infrastructure, and advocate for sustainable policies have made a significant impact on Vermont and its residents.
