Robin Scheu is a member of the Vermont House of Representatives, representing Addison-1 District. She assumed office in 2017. Her current term ends on January 8, 2025.

ROBIN SCHEU of Middlebury, Addison County, grew up in Simsbury, CT. She graduated from Smith College with a degree in Biological Sciences and received an MS in Management from Antioch University New England. Robin spent 14 years at Bank of Boston as a commercial lender and director of retail banking. She and her family moved to Middlebury in 1992. She was a Senior Vice President at Bank of Vermont for another two years. She then worked as a nonprofit board consultant, focusing on governance and strategic planning for over 12 years, including work with the Vermont School Boards Association, the Department of Education, and the Vermont Public Transit Association.

She has also been a facilitator, curriculum designer, and trainer. She was the Interim Executive Director of the Addison County Solid Waste Management District, and the Interim ED for the Middlebury Area Land Trust. Most recently, she was the Executive Director of the Addison County Economic Development Corporation for nine years. Robin is past chair of the following boards: Mary Hogan School; Vermont Land Trust; Smart Growth Vermont; United Way of Addison County; Champlain Valley Unitarian Universalist Society. She was also a member of the Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund board.

Robin Scheu has been a dedicated member of the Vermont House of Representatives since 2017, representing the Addison-1 district. Her legislative work includes serving as the Vice Chair of the House Committee on Appropriations and being a member of the Joint Fiscal Committee and the Special Committee on Capitol Complex Flood Recovery.

Robin’s professional journey began in the banking sector. She spent 14 years at the Bank of Boston, where she held roles as a commercial lender and director of retail banking. In 1992, she and her family relocated to Middlebury, Vermont. Following the move, she served as a Senior Vice President at the Bank of Vermont for two years.
