Representative Seth Bongartz

Seth Bongartz is a member of the Democratic Party serving in the Vermont State Senate. He represents the Bennington District, having assumed office on January 8, 2025. His current term is set to end on January 6, 2027.

Seth Bongartz has a long history of public service and professional accomplishments. Before his current role in the Vermont State Senate, he served in the Vermont House of Representatives, representing the Bennington 4 District. Bongartz has also been deeply involved in education and community development. He served on the board of Burr and Burton Academy for nearly two decades, including 15 years as its chair. Additionally, he is a founder and the current chair of the Northshire Community Land Trust, an organization dedicated to affordable housing and sustainable development. His dedication to fostering economic opportunity is evident in his role as chair of Grow America, a nationwide nonprofit organization.
