Marcus Riccelli is a Democratic member of the Washington State Senate, representing the 3rd Legislative District. He assumed office on January 13, 2025, and his current term is set to end in January 2029.

Born and raised in Spokane, Washington, Marcus Riccelli has dedicated his career to public service and community development. He graduated from Gonzaga University with a Bachelor of Business Administration and later earned a Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington. His early career included serving as the Eastern Washington Director for U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell and as a Senior Policy Advisor to the Washington State Senate Majority Leader Lisa Brown.

Riccelli was first elected to the Washington State House of Representatives in 2012, where he served for 12 years before transitioning to the Senate. During his tenure in the House, he held key leadership roles, including Majority Whip and Chair of the Health Care and Wellness Committee. His legislative priorities have consistently focused on healthcare access, education, and infrastructure development.

As a state senator, Riccelli continues to champion policies that benefit his constituents and the broader Washington community. He serves on several influential committees, including the Ways & Means Committee, the Health & Long-Term Care Committee, and the State Government, Tribal Affairs & Elections Committee. His work has been instrumental in advancing initiatives such as the creation of the WSU Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, which addresses the healthcare needs of rural and underserved communities, and the bipartisan transportation package that enhances infrastructure in the Spokane region.

Outside of his legislative duties, Riccelli is deeply involved in his community. He works as a Community Relations Manager for the Community Health Association of Spokane and has been an adjunct instructor at Eastern Washington University. He also serves on various boards and committees, including the North Spokane YMCA Advisory Board and the Washington State Telehealth Collaborative. A passionate advocate for youth development, he coaches youth sports and actively supports programs that create opportunities for young people.

Marcus Riccelli lives in Spokane with his wife, Amanda, and their two children. His commitment to public service and his community-first approach have made him a respected leader and a dedicated representative of the 3rd Legislative District.
