Marcus Riccelli, born on June 7, 1978, is an American politician affiliated with the Democratic Party. He assumed office as a member of the Washington House of Representatives, representing District 3-Position 1, on January 14, 2013.

Marcus Riccelli born on June 7, 1978 and raised in Spokane, Marcus Riccelli graduated from Gonzaga University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He then pursued a Masters of Public Administration at the University of Washington. His commitment to public service began early in his career when he served as U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell’s Eastern Washington Director from 2007 to 2010. Marcus continued to contribute to Washington State politics by working as a Senior Policy Advisor to former State Senate Majority Leader Lisa Brown from 2010 to 2012. In 2012, he was elected to the state legislature, where he has made significant contributions to various committees and initiatives.

Currently, Marcus serves as the chair of the Health Care & Wellness Committee, a position he has held since the 2023 session. He also plays an active role on the Appropriations and Local Government committees. Previously, he served as the Majority Whip from 2016 until 2022.

Beyond legislative duties, Marcus is a Community Relations Manager for CHAS (Community Health Association of Spokane), where he has worked for the past five years. He has also been an adjunct instructor at Eastern Washington University’s College of Health Science and Public Health. Additionally, he worked as the Operations Manager for the Northeast Community Center.

Marcus is deeply committed to his community. He coaches youth sports, serves as an advisory board member for the Northside YMCA, and actively contributes to organizations like the Washington Youth Soccer Board. His legislative accomplishments include championing funding for the WSU Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, expanding oral health access, and improving school meal programs for Washington students.

Marcus resides in Spokane with his wife, Amanda, and their two children.
