Representative Roger Goodman

Roger Elliot Goodman (born 1961) is an American lawyer and politician. He has been serving as a Democratic member of the Washington House of Representatives since 2007, representing the 45th district.

Family and Education:

• Roger lives in Kirkland with his daughter Vivian and his son Felix.
• He earned his A.B. from Dartmouth College in 1983.
• In 1986, he received his J.D. from The George Washington University School of Law.
• Later, in 1998, he obtained his M.P.A. from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
• Roger also spent time as a Visiting Research Associate at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa in 1981.

• Criminal Justice Policy Consultant at the King County Bar Association (2000-2009).
• Executive Director of the Washington State Sentencing Guidelines Commission (1998-2000).
