Timm Ormsby, born on June 17, 1959, is an American politician affiliated with the Democratic Party. He assumed office as a member of the Washington House of Representatives, representing District 3-Position 2, in 2003.

Timm Ormsby was born and raised in the heart of Spokane, Washington. His life experiences have given him firsthand knowledge of the value of hard work and the challenges faced by working families. As a cement mason by trade, he has been a dedicated member of the Operative Plasterers and Cement Masons International Association Local 72 since 1990.

In Olympia, Timm plays a crucial role as the chair of the House Appropriations Committee. This committee is responsible for crafting the House version of the state’s biennial operating budget. Additionally, he serves on the House Labor and Workplace Standards Committee.

Throughout his tenure in the legislature, Timm has contributed significantly to various committees. For several years, he served as the vice chair of the House Capital Budget Committee, where he helped shape the state’s construction budget. His expertise extends beyond budget matters; he is a special appointee to the State Investment Board and the Select Committee on Pension Policy, which he chaired during the 2013-14 term. Timm is also a special appointee to the Washington State Investment Board.

Beyond his legislative duties, Timm actively engages with the Spokane community. His affiliations include serving as the current president of the Spokane Regional Labor Council and as a board member of the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture and Spokane Neighborhood Action Programs. He has also been involved with organizations such as United Way of Spokane County and Rebuilding Together Spokane.

Timm Ormsby has proudly represented his friends and neighbors since joining the Legislature in 2003. He is married to Kim Ormsby and has three children and four grandchildren.
